As a parent, entrepreneur and lifelong seeker of knowledge, Allie understands explicitly that taking an hour for yourself can be a seemingly insurmountable task, so it needs to COUNT, and plans her classes in a way that guarantee her students the opportunity to reset mentally, build strength, stamina, (flexibility), and resilience in ways that serve the body and spirit on and off of the mat.
Allie brings a lighthearted, exploratory, encouraging energy to all of her classes. Focusing on the HOW and WHY of the many postures we move through, while integrating accessible ways to apply Yoga philosophy in daily life, she enables students to intelligently observe how they move, breathe and think so that they are empowered to fully participate in any class, build strength in body and mind, develop a home practice, and truly find the RITUAL amidst the repetition.
Allie is passionate about offering variations throughout her flows so that practitioners of any level (from beginners to handstanding athletes) can experience, apply, and enjoy the vast transformational benefits of Yoga, while working up a sweat and finding access to postures that may have seemed out of reach.
Expect to find real world, body conscious, stable, and adaptable postures and sequences in Allie’s classes.
She received her 200hr certification in Awakening Yoga in 2021, learning directly from the creators of this modern Hatha Vinyasa based practice, Patrick Beach and Carling Harps, and is currently working on completing her 500hr Awakening Yoga Certification, as well as an additional 200hr Katonah Yoga Certification.
Allie fiercely loves the lifelong path of being a student of Yoga, and knows that she is truly living her purpose through being able to pass the practice on to her students.
