Cass Lievsay has been studying yoga for more than 20 years. Her first yoga class as a student was in the Iyengar style where she took class 4 times a week for four years. When her teacher moved out of state she began exploring other yoga disciplines and continues to do so today. Cass received her formal 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Soulful Yoga and SUP in Atlanta under the watchful and supportive eye of many teachers including Laura McCrory, Jody Strumminger and TJ Jensen. She went on to earn her 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher at Heartwood Yoga Institute in Bradenton, FL. Cass earned the Yoga status of E-RYT 200 by teaching more than 1500 hours of yoga. She was the Lead Teacher for the Grey Owl Mind-Body Studio 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training until that studio closed due to COVID in November of 2020.
Trained in a Kriya-based practice, Cass continues to make it her life’s mission to introduce people to the beautiful practice of yoga and all of its amazing physical, emotional and spiritual benefits. An avid hiker, Cass takes her retired racing Greyhounds out for a hike on the Chattahoochee every day. Other than yoga and hiking, she really enjoys spending time with her college sweetheart, and now husband, and their two daughters, traveling, spending quality time with family and friends, and meeting new people and students.
